Homeschooling: What an Adventure

When we started homeschooling I was so excited. Unfortuantely, it seemed that I was spending more time preparing the lessons than my son was doing them. Some of the resources I found most useful are:

Software
1. Carmen Sandiego–My son loves the adventure
2. Math and Reading Blaster(Again, he loves shooting asteroids)
3. Math and Reading Blaster—Grammar Rock. We got the comprehensive set (Thinking Games) later and were very disappointed in it.
4. The Land Before Time Learning Adventure. Both my son and daughter love it.
5. Blues Clues Treasure Hunt

Books
Dorling Kindersly(Eyewitness, DK Readers, Inventions and the Discoveries Series) I have been thrilled with all of them.
Rookie Readers–The whole collection
Science Explained

Finally Superkids software review site seems to be right on target.
